Hi, I’m Jenna! I’m a senior studying Electrical Engineering at Ohio University, and I enjoy work that allows me to use both the technical and creative sides of my brain.

Through my internships and projects, I have gained experience in avionics documentation, medical equipment testing, electrical assembly, energy efficiency, and animatronics. Each experience has helped me become a more well rounded engineer, but I am especially drawn to projects where I can take an idea, even if it seems a little out there, work through the technical details, and help turn it into something real. I grew up hearing the phrase "think outside the box" and that is exactly what I plan to do.

I will graduate with my bachelor’s degree in May 2027 and plan to continue at Ohio University to earn my MBA in May 2028. My goal is to build a career where creativity and technical skill are equally important.

About Me

Why themed entertainment?

Themed entertainment brings engineering, storytelling, design, music, and performance together to create experiences people can step into and become part of. Theme parks are especially meaningful to me because they are places where I can feel like a kid again and where creativity and engineering meet in a happy medium. Guests do not have to stop and wonder how everything around them works. They can simply become part of the story and embrace the magic. Whether through a theme park attraction, animatronic character, or another immersive experience, I want to help create that magic and give people of all ages a chance to feel like a kid again.

Why combine engineering with creativity?

When I was choosing my major, I was torn between becoming a music teacher and an engineer because both paths reflected an important part of who I am. When I chose engineering, I made a promise to myself that I would not lose my creative side in all the math and science. Instead, I want to bring the technical and creative sides of my brain together to engineer things that are both functional and imaginative.

Why electrical engineering?

I have always asked a lot of questions. My curiosity has never allowed me to settle for a surface level understanding because I want to know both how something works and why it works that way. That need to look deeper. That need to solve problems. That need to truly understand the systems around me is what ultimately led me to electrical engineering.

I will work as hard as I need to, think outside the box, and continue learning until I turn my goals into reality.
